THE MAJOR OBSTACLES IN YOUR LIFE
         The major obstacle in your life is not the Devil, your enemies, fate, bad luck, sin or failure. The major obstacles are:
  1. Your ignorance of yourself.
  2. Your coat of many layers.
  3. Your cycles of birth and death.
  4. Your ignorance of spiritual laws of life.
  5. Your ignorance of what God is.
  6. Your ignorance of how your destiny is determined.
  7. Your attachment to frivolities.
IGNORANCE IS DARKNESS
         It is the ignorance of the general public that is called “darkness” in several portions of the Bible and Sacred Texts. Likewise, the flesh is called the shadow of death. It is a shadow of death because by its nature, it seeks to destroy (or overshadow) the real spirit that is man; but then, it is powerless.
         The same ignorance is called blindness. That was why Jesus described the Scribes and Pharisees as blind men leading blind people.

Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. Matthew 15:14

Hear, ye deaf; and look, ye blind, that ye may see. Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as the LORD's servant? Seeing many things, but thou observest not; opening the ears, but he heareth not. Isaiah 42:18-20

YOUR IGNORANCE OF YOURSELF
         You are not the flesh (body), which you see, touch and bath. You are spirit. God did not create weaklings as human beings. He created us as mighty spirit beings. People do not know this fact. That is why many live like ordinary flesh, at the mercy of fate, as if they are nonentities.
         For examples, an Angel of God instructed Gideon to deliver the Israelites from the Midianites. Gideon therefore asked for power. The Angel did not give Gideon extra power. Instead, he told Gideon to use the power which he already has.

“And the LORD looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?.” Judges 6:14

YOUR COAT OF MANY LAYERS
         Every man passes through the cycle of birth and death. That means that people reincarnate. Each past live leaves a shield, aura, around the person. You wear your past lives like dress around you. After passing through several reincarnations, the past live forms “layers” around you, around your soul and spirit, as if you are wearing several dresses at the same.
         That is why a visioner or prophet can see you, and start telling you about your life and character. That is why you can see a person and predict what the person can do.
         All these layers have to be removed, for you to be free, especially those layers that bear bad records and experiences. That is why Jesus said that you shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall set you free!

YOUR CYCLES OF BIRTH AND DEATH
         Some people do not believe in reincarnation. It does not matter whether you believe it or not. Truth is what it is, whether you believe it or not. And beware of this: Your belief is like a key. It either opens the door for you, or locks you out. Hence, those who are excluded exclude themselves.
         Observe nature. Check life, and study the world. You will discover that events of lives are cyclic. They keep on repeating: the day and night; the week and month, and the year and the century. Likewise, the seasons: wet and dry seasons, planting and harvesting times; birth and death; rise and fall: etc.
         The scientists have proved the recurrent phenomena: Water Cycle, Nitrogen Cycle, Rotation and Revolution, etc. You are bound to the cycle of birth and death, until you overcome it.

To him that overcomes
will I grant to sit with me in my throne,
even as I also overcame,
and am set down with my Father in his throne.
Revelation 3:21

The person whose mind is always free from selfish attachment,
who has subdued the mind and senses, and who is free from desires,
attains the supreme perfection of freedom from the bondage of Karma
by renouncing selfish attachment to the fruits of work.

YOUR IGNORANCE OF SPIRITUAL LAWS OF LIFE
         In all churches, people pray for the Holy Spirit to do the perfect will of God. It is the Natural Laws that constitute the God’s Will in Creation. You cannot overlook, or neglect, these laws and expect to please God, see Him or go back to Him. That is why Jesus said, He did not come to judge the world. Again, He said that it is the laws that judge the people before the Throne of God.
         The scope of the law is universal. The laws govern all fields of life (all fields of human endeavour): Sciences, Social Sciences, Arts, Religion, Economics, Politics, Agriculture, Technology, etc. No person, organization, or nation can disobey the laws and get free. Some of the spiritual laws you should know are:
  1. Whatever you do to others (even the least of your actions) shall be done to you.
  2. Your belief is a key. It either opens door for you, or locks you out. For example, those who believe in life-after-death, gain life, while those who do not believe remain as dead people for so long as they believe.
  3. You are what you think.
  4. Your destiny is determined by your thoughts, words and actions.
  5. Wrong is never appeased by wrong, but with good.
  6. What a man sows, that he reaps.
  7. Action and reaction are equal and opposite. Trying to revenge an evil will prodcue an endless chain of evils, which does nobody any good.
  8. To have a friend, be a friend.
  9. When the student is ready, the master will appear.
YOUR IGNORANCE OF WHAT GOD IS
         God is not a fearful being waiting to punish people. He is Almighty Father, full of loving-kindness, mercy and generousity. He is Life, Spirit, Truth, Light and Love. He has His own personality. At the same time, He pervades the entire Universe.

YOUR ATTACHMENT TO FRIVOLITIES
         Frivolities mean those things that are neither necessary nor essential. They include:
• Undue pursuit of wealth.
• Working against the good of your follow human being.
• Worshiping the creatures instead of worshiping God only.
• Attachment to people, things or places.
